Podiatry Bucks County PA-Specialties

- Laser Surgery

*Our state of the art laser is used to treat plantar warts, deformed and ingrown toenails and fungal nails.  In treating warts there is less scarring and faster healing time.  Moles and other skin lesions can also be removed more effectively.

- Diabetic Foot Care

*All diabetic patients should have a foot examination twice a year.  The most important way to avoid amputations and hospitalizations is to have a comprehensive foot examination to prevent complications.  Something as simple as diabetic shoes can protect your feet so as to avoid devastating amputations

- Routine Foot Care

*The treatment of corns, calluses and the proper care of toenails is important to keep you active and pain free.  Performing “bathroom surgery’ is not safe and is never a good idea.

- Sports Injuries

*Treatment of sprains, strains and fractures in a timely fashion can prevent long term problems in the future. Plantar fasciitis, chronic tendonitis, stress fractures, etc. can be prevented with a timely foot examination.  This is especially true for the weekend warrior.

- Nail Problems

*Treatment of ingrown toenails by Dr. Levy can prevent additional conditions such as cellulitis.  Ingrown nails can be removed permanently with a laser treatment which destroys the offending margin of the nail plate.

*Fungus infections of the toenail are not only unsightly but can be painful while wearing shoes due to the thickness of the nail hitting the shoe.  The infection can be treated topically, orally or with a laser.

- Geriatric Foot Care

*With aging comes a decrease in circulation and an increase in joint deformities, such as arthritis.  Avoiding podiatric problems can maintain an active and pain free lifestyle.

- Pediatric Foot Problems

*Painful and contagious, warts are unsightly and most common in children.  They are easily treated by Dr. Levy with chemicals and/or a laser.

*Proper foot mechanics with the use of orthotics can prevent future conditions such as plantar fasciitis and knee and back problems, which are common in children
